Ok...my friend Hola has been bugging about my sorry blog and about the lack of posts! You want posts?! Here it goes:
Unfortunately, I'm not one of those people with writing skills like my friend... You should all go visit her blog (say it with an h) and check out her opinions in life and be entertained in the mean time! It REALLY does take forever for me to write on my blog, that's why I don't do it that often as you notice!!
Ever since I've been back from Europe, life has been busy. Abraham has me and Dan rapped around his finger. Yep, we are just puppets in our son's life, he does whatever he wants with us. He's still not sleeping through the night, which causes us to have broken sleep and personally, I'm grumpy in the morning, afternoons and sometimes it lingers till evening. I'm trying to keep him busy with every activity I can think of, so we go on walks everyday, on Wednesdays we have play group with the ward, we've also enrolled in swimming classes, Kindermusik and the latest, Little Gym. Oh, and we try to go to story time for babies at the library. Hopefully this schedule will make him tired and keep him busy and out of trouble. I'm afraid my son has more energy than I can handle! People...he's not even 1!!! ahhhh....I've never been a big soda drinker, but lately, the Diet Coke has come in handy!
Update on Dan: He's still a great husband, always helping around the house and helping out a ton with Abraham. However, not even him could put up with an entire week of broken sleep. We made a bet the other day, I can't even remember why we were betting, but all I know is that I won (surprise, surprise)! Back in the days, in all our bets I would ask for money. Not this time, I ask for a whole entire week of not getting up in the middle of the night! Well, it went down like this: First, I was accused of not officially making the bet, so yes, he was trying to get away with it. Then, he woke up for about two nights in a row. Third night, the man would not wake up even if the world was ending, consequence: I HAD TO GET UP! Because "us" suckers(and you know who you are) can't deal with crying babies. Anything but a crying, inconsolable baby, it just kills me, it makes my nerves flourish and it's not like I can just pretend he is not crying. I guess I just rather take the lack of sleep and the diet coke over a crying baby. SUCKER!!! Conclusion: Dan still owes me an entire week!
Update on Abraham: He thinks he is one of the dogs. He wants dog treats, he wants the dog food, he wants to drink water from the hose like the dogs, he is happy when the dogs are inside the house because he can pull on their tails, cheeks and ears. I'm going to update a video of him, Luke and Max, you will know what I'm talking about! He also, loves to eat paper and play with everything but his toys. In fact, right now, he is on the floor and has gotten everything out of the office drawer (envelopes, old diskettes, tape... all out)! Every week he learns different animal sounds, so one week he is a lion (rooooaaarrr!), another week, he is a lamb (Baaaaaa) and he keeps making the same sound over and over again. He also loves the water and throw a tantrum when we are done with bathing. Overall, he is a normal kid... I hope...
Update on Me: I have not done very good with Weight Watchers, in fact I try to avoid it because I know I've gone up on my weight. I need to knock it off and get back on track. So hard!! I love the treats!! Any suggestions on how to stop the crave for sweets?! I'll try anything!!! I haven't been doing very good with jogging either, but I ran a 10K on July 24th. It took me 1:06 hr, I wasn't the last one but almost!!! What really killed me was the "Goliath hill", I knew there was going to be a hill, so I kept running up the temple for practice, but the real hill, was not even close to the temple hill, it was eternal and steeeeeeeeep and it was right at the beginning of the race, not even 1 mile into it. It totally just threw me off, and I was tired after 1 mile, I just dragged the other 5.2. So, really, my goal of one day running a full marathon, may never come true...
Oh, yesterday was my birthday and Dan as always surprised me with the usual thoughtful and personable gift: cash! Seriously... I'm not complaining, cash is good, I'll take it but it is not very personable! I'm excited about going to New York with Hola next month, we're going for the weekend- just girls, Dan is going to take Abraham. So I guess the cash came in handy... no complaints!
Tired of reading? Hope so Hola!!! Hey, Hola back when you have a minute!
